Late Night Musing; if I was to give you a magic pill that would change any thought or feeling that you have, what would it be?

Now, what if I was to tell you that there is no magic pill? Sorry, I know that’s a bit of a bugg*r, isn’t it.

But at least you’ve identified a limiting thought and that’s really damn useful because having awareness of your thoughts is the first step to having the ability to change them. It’s really bloody difficult to change a thought you’re trying to pretend you’re not having, isn’t it?

Is an interesting concept, pretending not to have a thought. It flies in your head and you tell yourself you didn’t just think it! But you did and you know you did. Why are you lying to yourself! That’s even more daft! Why lie to the one person that knows its a lie?

Anyway, awareness of thought is an essential part of change. Perhaps it’s time you faced up to your thoughts rather than hoping if you ignore them they’ll go away.
