Sometimes coaching isn’t enough.
You might feel overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or carrying things that feel too heavy to deal with alone. You may want a safe, consistent space to explore what’s going on, without needing to perform, push forward, or “fix” yourself.
Counselling and psychotherapy offer that space.
At HeadStrong, this work is calm, structured, and supportive. It’s about understanding yourself more deeply and making sense of what’s happening, at a pace that feels right.

Counselling and psychotherapy can be particularly helpful if you:
Feel emotionally overwhelmed or low
Are carrying unresolved experiences or long-standing patterns
Want a safe space to talk without pressure to “move on” quickly
Need time and consistency to explore thoughts and feelings
Want professional therapeutic support rather than coaching
This is about understanding, clarity, and emotional safety.
This service is intentionally structured and consistent.
Sessions take place weekly or fortnightly
Each session lasts 60 minutes
An initial commitment of around 10 weeks is recommended
This structure provides enough time and continuity for meaningful therapeutic work, while still allowing space to review progress and decide next steps together.
There’s no expectation to stay longer than is helpful.
This is about support, not dependency.

People often come to therapy feeling unsure, guarded, or worried about what it might be like.
What they often discover instead is:
A calm, professional space
Time to talk without judgement or interruption
Help making sense of emotions and experiences
A feeling of being understood rather than analysed
You’re not told what to do.
You’re supported in understanding yourself well enough to decide.

Counselling and psychotherapy at HeadStrong is delivered by Sheena, an experienced counsellor and trainee psychotherapist.
Sheena’s work is grounded, professional, and supportive. She creates a safe therapeutic space where clients can explore what’s going on beneath the surface, without pressure, labels, or judgement.
Her approach balances warmth with clear boundaries and structure, helping clients feel secure while engaging in meaningful therapeutic work.
Sheena also delivers a separate Neurodivergent Coaching programme, which is distinct from therapy.
If you’re unsure which type of support is right for you, we’ll help you work that out.

This service is a good fit if you’re looking for:
Professional counselling or psychotherapy
Regular, consistent sessions
A therapeutic relationship built on trust and safety
Time to explore emotions, experiences, and patterns
If you’re looking for short-term coaching, practical habit change, or structured goal-based work, one of our other services may be a better fit.
You don’t need to decide this alone.
If counselling or psychotherapy feels like the right next step, you can get in touch to begin the process.
We’ll respond within two working days to talk things through and explain what happens next.
